At the AID Development Centre, we have embraced the responsibility of enhancing the quality of life for individuals with unique abilities in Lebanon. Our work aims to uplift these individuals and to support their participation in society, so every member of the community has an equal chance to grow and contribute.

Care for the child and the family
Our mission is to empower children with special abilities through tailored training programs, providing holistic care and support to both them and their families. We are dedicated to dismantling barriers, advocating for the repeal of restrictive laws and standards, ensuring equal opportunities within educational institutions, and fostering inclusivity throughout society.
Programs
How the center works with a child
Screening and assessments
Academic and clinical assessments that show strengths, learning style, and what a child needs at school. The work can include IQ, speech and language, occupational therapy, special education, psychology, readiness, achievement, and an IEP, with a written report for the family.
Inclusive education
Support for schools that want every child in the classroom. The team designs and adapts teaching so education is accessible, in line with the Salamanca Statement’s call for schools for all.
Community service and volunteering
A program open to all nationalities. Young people take part in community service in Lebanon, including support for children with special abilities and practical awareness of the environment and development.
